Welcome Letter
Thank you for taking the time to explore the MBHS International program in Jerusalem.
At MBHS International, your search for the best opportunity for your next step in education meets our vision to provide a high-quality academic program within a framework that will assist students in developing their core identity and their sense of belonging to the Jewish people in a safe and emotionally sensitive environment.
Being myself a father to teenagers I can certainly identify with the desire to meet the social, emotional and academic needs of the next generation and with the frustrations parents and students experience trying to find a school that is aiming in the right direction. As a professional educator, with years of experience in management of international programs, I believe this vision is achievable. The phenomenal 58-year track record of the Mae Boyar High School is a testament to the power of education done right. College preparatory education in a diverse, supportive, multi-national framework is the future of education. At MBHS International we are taking what works so well at the national level and bringing it into the international arena.
The global pandemic has taught us many lessons about health and hope, the corrosive effect of isolation and the importance of global interdependence. These lessons are, we believe, most keenly felt in the world of education. Generations of students have been taught that our basic needs must be met before we can achieve higher levels of learning. These years are showing us that emotional health and social well-being are foundational to academic success. These are the basic needs of our education. We must provide the necessary emotional and social support, combined with interdisciplinary studies aimed at building back trust in the human ability to shape our future based on shared knowledge and compassion.
We hope to welcome you into our educational community and family in the fall.
